Dealerships versus the box stores.
Is there a difference? We would have to say, "you better believe there is." Probably the biggest difference is the fact that we service what we sell! Which is very important to you, the customer.
Home Depot is an example of a box store. They sell the TORO Recycler lawn mower. The same as we do. We both sell it for the same advertised price, the difference is that from our store it is completely ready to go and theirs is not. From a box store, the customer has to put in the oil, add the fuel, hopefully read the owners manual, and hope it starts and continues to runs. The customer is also responsible for filling out and sending in the warranty information.
When that same mower is purchased from our dealership, Schultz Power Equipment, our factory trained technicians will check over the unit, add the proper amount of oil, add fresh fuel to the fuel tank, and make sure that it runs properly. They will then bring the unit outside to the customer and perform a demonstration of the unit and its features. They also answer any questions or concerns that the customer may have. After the sale, we will register the warranty online with the manufacturer. As a courtesy to the customer, in the event that there is an issue with the mower while it is under the warranty period, the unit will receive "top priority" and is repaired as quickly and as efficiently as possible.
The box stores inform the customer to locate an "authorized" dealer. In other words... they do not service what they sell.
We are here for our customers.
